I’m training for my first marathon too! Just two weeks away and I’m starting tapering and I’ve actually heard a lot of runners gain weight during the taper time. I relate to a lot of this during my training. I’ve tried to eat more complex carbs (sweet potatoes and squash) but I’m also eating way more ice cream, graham crackers and candy!
