Yes, you can take the prerequisites as a “non degree” student, but you will have to get a Master’s in Nutrition (as of 2024) to become an RD.

Unfortunately I do not think that would meet the requirement. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is really strict about having certain degrees.

Hi Ingrid. Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately I don’t think you can use the Dietitian title, as it’s synonymous with Registered Dietitian.

I graduated years ago from a dietetic program accepted by the ADA. Did not do my internship then, because i could not afford it. I have always used Nutritionist as my title even though id like to say dietician,but not RD. Could i use Dietician and not the title Registered Dietician ?
